Sick and Cute

The wee E has been sick again. Her fever began on Wednesday -- thankfully Amy was home with her that day. She was really clingy, not very animated and took two naps, so something was really bothering her.

Yesterday we split the day -- Amy went into work at an ungodly hour and I stayed with Elsie until 12:30, when Amy came home.


Even though she was feeling cruddy, she's still cute as ever, huh? And I have to say, though I'm sad her being sick is the reason, it was really nice to have some one-on-one time with her yesterday.

We definitely took it easy, but had a lot of fun playing in the house, reading books, singing, having a little snack. Put her in the backpack and went for a walk in the sunshine, during which she fell asleep. Just a really sweet time together.

Amy went in wicked early again this morning, just in case, but Elsie seems to have rallied -- so at least Mama will be able to pick the kids up from school early and enjoy what has turned out to be a gorgeous day.
